Are Inoya products independently lab tested? +
Yes. Inoya products undergo independent laboratory testing relevant to their materials, intended use and product category.
Depending on the product, testing may assess material safety and quality, durability, absorbency, leak protection and other performance requirements.
Is the Inoya Period Cup TGA compliant? +
Yes. The Inoya Period Cup is TGA compliant.
Menstrual cups are regulated as therapeutic goods in Australia and must meet applicable Australian requirements covering areas including materials, design, packaging, labelling and consumer information.
What is the Inoya Period Cup made from? +
The Inoya Period Cup is made from 100% premium medical-grade silicone supplied by WACKER, Germany.
It contains no added dyes and is manufactured in an ISO 13485-certified facility. The cup undergoes material safety, quality and performance testing relevant to its intended use.
Is the Inoya Period Cup tested for heavy metals? +
Yes. Heavy metal testing forms part of the material safety assessment conducted under the Korean MFDS menstrual cup approval framework.
The cup undergoes extractables and leachables testing, with the resulting extract assessed for heavy metals according to the prescribed Pharmacopoeia test method.
The Inoya Period Cup received a result of Grade 0 (None), meaning no heavy metals were detected under the prescribed test method.
Do Inoya reusable pads contain PFAS? +
The top and inner layers of Inoya reusable pads are made from 100% GOTS-certified organic cotton, with a separate polyurethane (PU) waterproof layer providing leak protection. PFAS are not inherently required for PU to provide its waterproof function.
What does GOTS-certified organic cotton mean? +
GOTS stands for the Global Organic Textile Standard, an internationally recognised standard for textiles made with certified organic fibres.
It sets requirements across textile processing, including environmental and social criteria. The top and inner layers of Inoya reusable pads are made from GOTS-certified organic cotton, giving you certified organic cotton in the layers closest to your body.
